  • Introduction

RescueFit UK LTD is committed to promoting equal opportunities and eliminating discrimination in all aspects of employment and service provision. This policy applies to all employees, volunteers, job applicants, customers, clients, and contractors.

  • Legislation and Guidelines

Our company adheres to the Equality Act 2010, which prohibits discrimination based on protected characteristics, including age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation. We also follow relevant codes of practice and guidance from regulatory bodies, such as the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC).

  • Policy Statement

We value diversity and aim to create an inclusive and supportive working environment where everyone is treated with dignity, respect, and fairness. Discrimination, harassment, victimisation, or any form of unfair treatment will not be tolerated. We are committed to providing equal opportunities in recruitment, training, career development, and promotion for all employees, based on merit and job-related criteria.

  • Responsibilities

The Director is responsible for implementing and monitoring the equal opportunities policy. The Director has a duty to promote and enforce equal opportunities within the organisation. All employees, volunteers, job applicants, customers, clients, and contractors must adhere to the policy and report any incidents of discrimination or harassment.

  • Recruitment and Selection

Vacancies will be advertised widely to attract a diverse pool of applicants. Selection processes will be fair and based on objective criteria, avoiding bias or discrimination. Reasonable adjustments will be made to accommodate applicants with disabilities.

  • Training and Development

We provide training opportunities to enhance employees' skills and knowledge, regardless of their background or protected characteristics. Training programs promote awareness of equality, diversity, and inclusion, helping employees to understand their responsibilities and challenge discriminatory behaviour.

  • Working Environment

We strive to maintain a respectful, inclusive, and harassment-free workplace. Any incidents of discrimination, harassment, or victimisation will be thoroughly investigated and appropriate disciplinary action will be taken.
Employees are encouraged to report any concerns or incidents through the designated channels, without fear of retaliation.

  • Promotion and Career Development

Opportunities for promotion and career advancement are available to all employees based on merit, skills, and experience. Development plans and performance evaluations are conducted fairly and objectively.

  • Monitoring and Review

Regular monitoring and review of equal opportunities practices and policies will take place to ensure their effectiveness. Anonymous monitoring of diversity data may be conducted to identify any underrepresented groups and address potential inequalities.

  • Communication and Training

This policy will be communicated to all employees, contractors, and relevant stakeholders. Training and awareness sessions will be provided to ensure understanding and compliance with the equal opportunities policy.

  • Complaints and Grievances

A clear and accessible procedure for reporting complaints or grievances related to equal opportunities will be in place. Complaints will be investigated promptly, confidentially, and impartially, with appropriate actions taken to address any issues identified.

  • External Commitment
